Bring a fresh new look to your home for Spring with some of the best interiors trends from the latest round of trade shows. Following fashions lead, trends in interiors are no longer so defined and allow for more personality and individuality. There are still however suggestions and mini-trends and we have highlighted those for Spring into Summer 2015
Interiors are awash with colour options and pretty much anything goes. Pantone Predictions for the next few months highlight softer, cooler colour choices with warm tones. An eclectic, ethereal mix of understated brights, pale pastels and nature like neutrals.
Soft pastels like powder pink, eggshell blue and mint green offer a subtle colour palette and can soften the look of your living space. Team with grey for a stylish modern look and stick to simple shapes.
Blue continues to be the flavour of the moment, particularly the darker shades – indigo and navy – but also teal and aqua. The grey-blue doors on the super stylish Moodi Sideboard by Zweed look ultra cool.
New uses for enamel were everywhere at Maison Et Object in Paris and represent this materials growing resurgence. A practical and modern take on enamel is used by Design Ideas in their Palette Bathroom Set.
Bold and painterly prints and monochrome geometric had a strong presence at recent trade shows. Pattern and print continue to be an important theme and geometric prints in particular look modern and sharp. Kings of print 10 Gruppen in Sweden illustrate this in their Zibidie range.
There is always room for organic textures and simple and understated shapes in wood, marble and cork. A contemporary take on a traditional desk handmade in the UK by Liam Treanor. Furniture to love for years to come.

On your behalf, we will be trend spotting and bringing you the lowdown. Once again, this season’s hottest colours from the catwalk are also trending in interior accessories. Here are the key trends to carry over from Autumn 2014 to Spring 2015
Colour is the most influential characteristic when it comes to trends. Neon and vibrant colours continue in popularity everywhere. These bright colours look fab against a white or grey background and it’s easier and cheaper to use accents and accessories to change colour in a room. You can take a risk on bold coloured accessories and ring the changes in an instant.
What’s not to love about the more than 50 shades of grey to choose from? Grey is a fantastic base colour, is calming, sophisticated and dramatic all at once. We love Anne Blacks Dove grey storage jar, perfect for jewellery storage.
Beautiful blue still reigns supreme in interiors. Turquoise, cobalt and indigo are here to stay in a multitude of materials and finishes.
Bold dramatic designs in black and white are eternally chic and are great accents in a Scandi style scheme. We love the whole Zibidie range of black & white oilcloth from 10 Gruppen in Sweden.
Geometric shapes continue to have a strong presence as seen in the oilcloth Toiletry Bag from Malin Westberg in Sweden. Graphic forms like triangles, cubes, circles and geo flowers create a slick modern look.
Metal Mash Up
Metal is having a moment and the easiest way to introduce silver, copper or even gold to your home is through small accessories as it’s a trend that can easily look overpowering or garish. Take a look at Neon Livings copper organising tray that we recommend for your desktop.
Wood, leather, linen, glass and cotton products and also organic shapes like Alessi’s naturally rounded edges in their lovely bathroom organisers.
On a lovely visit to Home London’s new Autumn show at Olympia. Definitely the best interiors trade show in the UK with new products you won’t find elsewhere. We were on the hunt for some exciting new finds for The Organised Home.
We fell in love with the beautiful Ivalo and Lotta storage jars with leather handles from LSA.
The entire LSA stand was stunning and shiny. Really, really good quality products.
The Authentics stand had some really quirky and edgy lighting. You can never have too much great lighting in your home.
Our favourite Bathroom Cabinet ever
We had to be dragged off the Universo Positivo stand because everything on it was so gorgeous and thoughtfully designed.
Wouldn’t you like your desk to look like this?
Super-cute desk organisers

Bold colour pop is still a big trend in interiors for Autunm 2014
We have had Essey’s Bin Bin in white in the office for ages. Looks just like crumpled paper and is ultra practical. The new graphite grey version is just out.
